Finance iPhone Apps

Nowadays it is more and more common to have lots of applications on your smartphone. Some of the applications that can be downloaded onto our device can help us control what we spend, immediately know our stock values and in conclusiomn, manage our personal finances better.
This article talks about this kind of applications. All of the apps I am going to mention are for free, although some of them do offer a better functionality if you pay for it.

We can classify these apps into four different groups:

  • The first group includes applications that help us control our income and expenses so they ensure accurate bookkeeping:

    iCash icon
iCash: Although it is not what you would call the typical financial application, it is useful because it gives us an original graphic vision of our income (with coins and notes). This allows us to see how much we are earning and to know what percentage of our salary we are spending when we shop.

    iSpreadsheet icon
iSpreadsheet: It is a calculation sheet which has the advantage of letting us organise the pages we create into different folders and of allowing us to export them to GoogleDocs. Its disadvantage is its limited usability and that the free version limits the size of the spreadsheet.

iBalance iconiBalance: This application helps us with our home or personal echonomy. It is easy to use and one of its advantages is that data can be exported from it.

  • The second group are the apps which keep us informed (of stock market values?) at all times. They require an Internet connection. Some of these apps are:

Bloomberg iconBloomberg: This app gives us a global vision of the stock market, mainly focusing on the US. It offers a more financial vision which professionals will be thankful for.

CNN iconCNN Money: This app is a little slow but it also lets us watch videos. It also focuses on the US.

Convert EverythingConvert everything: This application helps us convert Yards into KMs, grams into ounces and most importantly when it comes to finance, it lets us convert sovereign values.

  • The third group of finance apps are those apps that let us store information.

    cards app
Cards: It lets us store our personal information or our clients? personal information.

  • The fourth group lets us make financial calculations much faster.

    Amortize

Amortize: This application is an easy to use amortization schedule calculator that lets us calculate a loan?s amortisation table and even lets us set our debt capacity according to our income.

  • Other popular financial apps are Accountr, Bankarama, Budget, MyMoney, Day Bank and many others, all of them available on Apple?s iTunes Store, but these are not free applications.
